Student and Family Affordability Fund

As you may have heard, the Provincial government is providing money to school districts in B.C. to help make back-to-school more affordable for students and their families who are struggling with rising costs of living due to global inflation. The Student and Family Affordability Fund was established by the provincial government at the beginning of this school year.

This one-time targeted funding is intended to: 1. Improve students’ access to nutritional food/meals, before, during and after the school day. 2. Directly offset costs to parents, guardians, and students, such as field trip fees and other cost pressures they are facing using existing mechanisms such as school district hardship policies and procedures.

We are reaching out to see if your family would benefit from the support of this fund.  If you would like the school to consider providing support, please fill out the confidential survey below.  The survey will be sent to your child’s school administrator for their confidential information and use.
