Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. The position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and time management are essential. We are licensed, so applicant must be 19 and have “Serving it right” certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards
• Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, equipment, and dining area in compliance with food safety standards
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly
• Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as needed
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
• Follow food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices at all times
• Restock supplies and ingredients as necessary to ensure smooth operations

Experience

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in serving, cashiering, or food handling enhances ability to perform duties efficiently
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions effectively
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is desirable
• Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure timely service
