      Safety Month at ḰELSET was held in October.  Students had two different presentations on pedestrian safety and fire safety from the School Liaison Officer and representatives from North Saanich Fire Department.  Students learned about emergency preparedness in an assembly as we prepared for our earthquake drill.  

     On multiple days in October, Saanich Facilities District and Municipality staff were in the parking lot and along the street during pick up / drop off times, reminding our community to observe new signs and follow traffic rules to keep everyone safe.  We continue our focus on traffic and pedestrian safety through student announcements, assemblies and parent communication opportunities.
