Through the Faculty of Education at UVic, and in partnership with the Centre for Outreach Education
(CORE), Lochside has started the Success Club. Three days a week after school, this program provides
extra literacy experiences for students who may not normally have access to additional support. At
this time, the program is focusing on emerging readers as this was an area identified in our school
plan. CORE transforms learning through personalized tutoring services that help children when and
where they need it.
