Welcome to Beacon Pet Hospital! We are a full-service animal hospital providing comprehensive healthcare services to pets in Sidney and the surrounding areas. We are relocating to a new, state-of-the-art location and are looking for new staff to join our team.

Do you have some extra time to spare?
We are currently seeking a Hospital Cleaner to join our team for a 2-hour shift on Mondays and Saturdays, from 5:30–7:30 pm, and on Tuesdays through Fridays, from 7:00–9:00 pm. The schedule is flexible if the job is done before 8:30 AM the following day. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of our Veterinary Hospital and running our autoclave sterilizer. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Job duties:

• Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
• Processing surgical instruments for autoclave
• De-linting and processing surgical laundry
• Wrapping surgical gowns for autoclave
• Folding non-surgical laundry (blankets and hand towels)
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Operate power tools and hand tools to perform cleaning tasks
• Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines
• Adhere to proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or hospital cleaning is preferred
• Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to attend work regularly

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $18.75-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
