Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest experiences through efficient food service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and providing friendly customer interactions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and grow within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering duties
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients and plating dishes
  • Provide excellent guest services by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to uphold safety standards
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
  • Support kitchen staff with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations

Skills

  • Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices in the food industry
  • Ability to handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
  • Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred but not mandatory; training provided for entry-level candidates
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
  • Effective communication skills for guest interactions and team collaboration
  • Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and upselling techniques
