We are looking for two (2) enthusiastic individuals to join our Visitor Experience team in a part-time role this summer working (3) shifts a week. In this role, you are the first and last point of contact for visitors of the Centre, and you provide exceptional customer service at our retail and admissions/memberships desk. This role is retail/sales focused instead of education/animal focused.

Duties include:

· Providing friendly, welcoming, and helpful customer service.

· Processing customer transactions through admissions and retail tills.

· Processing end of day cash-out and till reconciliation.

· Providing detailed information regarding tickets, memberships and merchandise.

· Answering and transferring calls on a multi-line phone system.

· Maintaining membership contact information and ensuring it’s up to date.

· Ensuring the retail space is always clean, tidy and free from clutter.

· Processing both incoming and outgoing mail and inventory shipments.

Qualifications:

· Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling - experience balancing a till is an asset.

· Enthusiastic positive personality geared towards exceptional customer service.

· Ability to multi-task in a changing environment while maintaining customer interaction.

· Availability to work Sundays. Additional shifts will be a combination of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays; totaling three (3) shifts weekly. Possible shift combinations are as follows;

• Option 1: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
• Option 2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday
• Other combinations may be considered but Sunday is a requirement of the position.

Note: Working one weekend day, in this case, Sundays, is required. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada, be at least 16 years of age and be willing to submit a criminal record check prior to starting employment.

Pay: $18.48/hour.

Hours: Three (3) regular shifts a week. Sundays and a combination of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday weekly. Part-time shifts are 6.5 to 7.5 hours each.
