Student Greeter @ Saanich Municipal Elections
The District of Saanich is looking for Student Greeters at the October 17 municipal election.
Greeters will be responsible for welcoming the voter into the voting location and directing them
to the appropriate staff in order to receive their ballot. They may also be required to take on
other related duties as directed by the Presiding Election Official.
This will be a paid position; $135 for a seven-hour shift from either 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. OR 2 p.m. to
9 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Students will also be required to attend a mandatory
one-hour training session prior to working on voting day and will be compensated an additional
$25.
Students selected for these positions are required to have access to a mobile phone during their
shift. An additional $15 will be provided for the use of a mobile phone.
The qualifications for this position are as follows:
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must not be related to or involved in the campaign for any of the candidates
- Good communication skills
- A second language would be helpful, but not required.
