Volunteers Needed at Fair Trade Rug Event
Buunyad Rugs is having a fair trade rug event and is looking for volunteers! This is a great opportunity to learn about the rug program, fair trade, and the impacts it has on the artisans in Pakistan.
Sidney Rug Event Oct 22 - Nov 1 (Mon-Fri 10-6, Sat-Sun 10-5) Pier Hotel in Sidney.
Setup is Wednesday, Oct 21, from 11-3
Takedown is Monday, November 2, from 9-1
Volunteer Opportunities
We need 5-10 people to help with setup and takedown (unloading and reloading rugs onto pallets).
We need 1-2 people during the event to help flip rugs while customers are looking at them (staff do all of the talking).
Volunteers can come for as little or as much as they'd like - although a min of 3 hours is helpful, as we will provide some orientation.
