The Child and Youth Care (CYC) Degree Program at Vancouver Island University is excited to share the students can now complete their degree with more flexibility than ever before, through our new HYFLEX delivery model.
What is the HyFlex delivery model?
This means students can choose to attend classes on campus in Nanaimo or join live online through Microsoft Teams, making is possible to complete the degree while remaining in their home communities. No matter which option they select, students will have equal access to course content, real-time participation, and meaningful engagement with their instructors and peers.
Where can a CYC Degree take you?
More than a degree focused on supporting children and youth, CYC is about building community capacity, nurturing identity, and supporting long-term wellness. When practiced with cultural humility and community collaboration, the program can be a meaningful tool for supporting indigenous-led healing and transformation.
