On April 22nd, Earth Day, the Saanich Schools Climate ChangeMakers team hosted a district-wide event to celebrate our collective work towards climate action as part of our Global Citizenship Strategic Plan goal. K-12 students showcased inspiring, student-led projects that highlighted student action, student voice, and engaged the community in thoughtful conversations. Guests enjoyed sustainably created snacks and refreshments provided by Stelly’s Culinary Arts program, learned more about the Saanich Schools' Energy Sustainability Plan, and we able to check out the district's electric truck and school bus. Overall, the event was a testament to our commitment to climate action, leaving attendees inspired and hopeful for the future.
